Hosting season is upon us and we could not be more excited. Summer brings so many opportunities to take advantage of nice weather, beautiful landscape, and good company. For that reason, we wanted to show you how to best kick off the season with brunch in the backyard.
Set the Scene
Furniture makes a big difference when creating an outdoor scene. Go outside the box from a classic picnic table set and have fun with pieces like our terrazzo table and woven bistro chairs. These types of pieces immediately elevate a look and make everything come together beautifully (with minimal effort).
If you aren’t confident in your outdoor furniture situation quite yet, then set up a linen tablecloth and pillow scene for your guests to enjoy! It will be a unique and picturesque experience.
Set the Table
Thinking through the classic table setting can feel repetitive, so switch it up with some bright colors and fun materials! We love how our wood bowls pair with our thick recycled glass serveware and drinkware. Styling some bright napkins to compliment our
fresh-squeezed orange juice (in our convenient and simply stunning drink holder) gave our table an extra pop! Keep it simple and light by topping off the table with some dried palms in a glass vase.
Colors and Elements
When planning a summer get-together, there is no such thing as too much color. But let the food that you choose do the heavy lifting! For instance, displaying citrus fruits can be a great way to add some flare to an otherwise bland table setting (or in our case, floor setting!). Natural wood pieces such as our serving boards can make those natural colors pop, and are a convenient way to display photo-worthy charcuterie and desserts. Lastly, take it to the next level by investing in a unique, but versatile tea set. It adds so much personality to the party and guests will be more than thrilled to help themselves to a drink.
Styling a corner with florals and greenery can also make the space feel even more like a sanctuary. Be sure to add in some woven baskets for added warmth.
